Adelaide’s Astrology... A message from Adelaide the Bull

MAY 8TH. THE MOST AMAZING DAY OF THE YEAR. MY. BIRTHDAY.

Hi, guys! It’s Adelaide the Iggy here and I wanted to share with you my zodiac sign and why I’m totally a Taurus...the bull. I’m the cutest 9lbs bull you’ll ever see!

I didn’t know that much about astrology when I started on this adventure but I did my research with the zodiac experts and determined that I am a Taurus through and through. First off... my sign is an earth sign, which makes total sense because I love digging in the dirt (or the couch) and have been known to get a little messy outside in nature. Taurus is also related to the planet Venus, known for love, beauty and gentleness. I’m your Venus, I’m your fire... I’m an iggy. An Italian greyhound is an affectionate, gorgeous dog with a dainty nature which is very gentle.

Don’t get me wrong though...it’s not all fun and games. I’ve got some strong Taurus traits that show anything from emotional strength to the love of luxury. Let’s start with some classic traits.

EMOTIONAL STRENGTH

Sometimes Mom and Dad leave the room for a whole 30 seconds and I have to muster up the courage not to cry. I think that I am a very emotionally strong, independent woman. There was one time I got sick and wouldn’t eat and my parents took me to the vet. I was very strong in these moments because I knew it was all going to be alright and that my parents would help snuggle me back to health. I am strong and brave when meeting all dogs, big or small. Nothing can break me.

DETERMINATION

I WILL get that toilet paper roll. I WILL get that sock. Even if I know I’m not supposed to. You know why? Because I’m going take that item I’m not supposed to have and sneak it immediately to my bed for personal chew time.  I am a determined girl and what I want, I make MINE. Including all of your attention. I am great at puzzle games and do not give up until all the treats are mine. I am determined to finish my dog school training and be a star pup...or at least do well enough to get all the treats.

SELF-RELIANCE

I can make any spot in the house MINE. Of course, I enjoy when my parents help bundle me up into a little cozy blanket. But, I don’t NEED their help. I just need their love and attention when it suits me. I can make a game out of ANY household item, whether or not my humans want to help me (ex: socks, tissues, gloves...). I already lead the way on every walk we take, even if that’s immediately back inside because it’s too cold.

MATERIALISTIC, LUXURIOUS, COMFORT-LOVING

Ok, don’t get me wrong. I love just about everything and everyone...but I also really love cool toys. I like squeaky toys, tug toys, chew toys or puzzle toys. You name it. I also really can’t imagine my life without dozens of soft, fluffy blankets draped around me. Give me a good chew toy and I’ll sit on top of my mountain of blankets forever. My favorite toy is my giraffe, or llama, because I love to howl with it in my mouth. I sometimes collect all my toys in my bed and just sit there with them. Sure, my parents want to play fetch with me...but my toys are so cool I could just play by myself all day (with them watching obviously). Iggies are also known for our endless fashion. I’m not quite a fashionista yet but I’m working on my modeling career with my dad being a photographer.

PURPOSEFUL

I do things with purpose. I am always present and enjoy life to the fullest. If I’m doing something, no matter how naughty, you better believe that I meant to be doing it. My purpose in life is to bring everyone joy...or maybe to keep you on your toes. I want to dazzle and delight everyone with my crazy ways. I’ve got a sassy trot and an intense glare whenever you’re eating on the other side of the room without me. I wish that everyone did things with purpose because then the world would be filled with even more treats, endless snuggles, long luxurious walks and head massages - or is that just my little iggy dream?

If you’re a Taurus and you can totally relate, let me know. I’m only 11 months old so maybe I haven’t truly found myself yet. I do know that I love what I love and not much is going to stop me from getting it. I hope you all have enjoyed my first experience learning about astrology. What’s your sign?
